Céad Míle Fáilte / Welcome,

There is powerful alchemy found with the hearth of our stories

Into the Circle is a place to be held by the hallowed and cradled by the sacred.

May it be a soft landing space along your way.

Rachaimis ar thuras le chéile / Let’s take this journey together…

Mo ghrá go léir / All my love,

Erica

We are living in a time when heart and creativity are essential.

We are living in a time when knowing the landscape of our bones are will root us.

We are living in a time when bringing our stories to voice will be medicine for the collective soul.

What You Can Expect from Into the Circle

Each Into the Circle podcast episode or written entry is carefully curated, imbas inspired, and co-created with the sacredly held Otherworld.

The intention of Into the Circle is:

  • to hold space for all aspects of the human experience (from glory to grief; longing to belonging; and all that lands in-between).

  • to share the creative process as a new full-length Into the Circle Theatre storytelling gathering comes into being - titled De thír mo mháithreacha: Of the Land of my Mothers.

  • to share some of what I’ve gathered along my way - in journeying home to ancestral landscape of my blood and bones.

As an Irish-Canadian woman, I weave with threads of Irish mythology, folklore, traditional stories and songs (in English and an Gaeilge), alongside the ancient matriarchal, land-based wisdom of Éire/Ireland.

Podcast episodes or written entries find their way into the world as they call to me. Typically, they land in inboxes once or twice a month.

About Erica

As a sacred storyteller, spiritual counsellor, and ordained minister (through the Sacred Stream Foundation; in Berkeley, California), Erica's heart-centred work is rooted in facilitating experiences where souls feel seen, held, and heard.  She believes deeply in the wisdom of the human body and spirit; and the powerful medicine of storytelling.

Erica’s dán [soul work] is deeply woven within sacred embrace of the Irish Mná Feasa (the Wise Women), the Mná Leighaas (the Medicine Women), and the Mná Chaointe (the Keening Women), and the Áes Dána (People of the Arts).

As Creative Visionary of Into the Circle Theatre, she is devoted to reverently honouring the tradition of the Irish seanchaí. Through the weaving of Irish culture, folklore, and mythology, she shares hallowed tales of remembering the wisdom of the body, the magic of the human spirit, and the sacred relationship between the physical and otherworldly realms. Many of these tales arise from the diasporic experience, carrying the grief of separation and the longing to belong — to land, to language, and to home, echoing through our bones. Into the Circle Theatre kindles community gatherings, where story becomes a sacred journey back to the essence of who we are — body, heart, and soul.

With Irish and French ancestry, Erica continues to be reverently grateful to the traditional spirits and land keepers [past, present, and forth-coming] of the unceded territory of the Algonquin Anishinabeg Nation; where she was born, raised, and currently resides. Míle buíochas for the opportunity to live, create, and walk alongside you.

In the early Summer 2025, Into the Circle Theatre’s current work-in-progress, De thír mo mháithreacha: Of the Land of My Mothers, will take Erica to County Kerry. There, she will listen to the stories, songs, and spirits of homeland [Éire/Ireland], as a new narrative takes shape—a balm for the diasporic longing to belong.

In addition, as the 2025 Resident Storyteller for KnotWork Myth & Storytelling, Erica’s captivating stories will be shared regularly across various podcast platforms, bringing listeners closer to the ancient art of storytelling and its profound connection to the modern world.

Through Into the Circle with Erica O’Reilly, Erica also offers 1:1 spiritual counselling support and facilitates group gatherings.
